Daniëlle De Vooght

Biography

Dr. Daniëlle De Vooght is coordinator at ETWIE – Center of Expertise for Technical, Scientific and Industrial Heritage located in Mechelen (Belgium). In 2010 she obtained her phd with a dissertation on food habits of the aristocracy, more particular on food culture at the nineteenth century royal court of Leopold II of Belgium. Her thesis published in 2012 under the title The king invites : Performing Power at a Courtly Dining Table was awarded the first Joop Witteveenprijs 2012. She is a member of FOST.
