Efrat Gilad


Efrat Gilad is a PhD candidate in International History at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (Geneva) and a Swiss National Science Foundation Doc.CH fellow. Her research focuses on food and nutrition as entry points to broader discussions about the exchange of ideas, goods and the movement of people during the 20th century. Her recent work is situated in British Mandate Palestine and revolves around the growing market for meat, as a means of examining links between consumption, urbanity and migration.
