Susanne Højlund


Susanne Højlund, ph.d. in social anthropology, associated professor at Aarhus University.
She has done fieldwork in Denmark and Cuba, and has published within fields as: childhood, welfare, home, the cultural meaning of sugar, food anthropology and taste.
She is currently editing a book (with prof. Carole Counihan): Making Taste Public, and is project coordinator of the forthcoming symposium: Creative Tastebuds. See:
She is part of the editorial board for Food and Foodways, and part of the advisory board for FO.CUS – Food Culture Studies at Aarhus University.
